Five Star Bank appointed Vice President Mark J. DeBacco to Commercial Real Estate executive. DeBacco has more than 20 years of experience in the commercial arena.

Building Control and Services, a Tonawanda-headquartered HVAC maintenance service and automated building environmental controls and security systems and services provider, named Nathanial J. Parr to its energy engineering staff.

Veraview, a video conferencing/distance learning and video streaming company located at 70 W. Chippewa St., appointed Joseph Miller sales manager. Miller most recently was regional account manager for Dialogic Corp.

Buffalo Exterminating, a locally-owned pest management company, promoted Scott Hall to manager of Information Technology. Hall, with the company since 1998, is based at its Orchard Park office.

Gross Shuman Brizdle and Gilfillan attorney R. Scott Atwater was a presenter at the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers’ seminar titled, “The Collection, Preservation and Use of Electronic Evidence,” held recently at the University at Buffalo School of Law.

Burning Asphalt Sauces, a gourmet specialty food producer and distributor based in Forestville, has opened its first distribution center servicing the West and Southwest United States. Located in Phoenix, the new distribution operation will be headed by Mark Wise, a former Western New Yorker.

The PCA Group, an information technology consulting firm serving Western and Central New York, successfully implemented software programming enhancements for Benefit Plans Administrative Services, a Utica-headquartered employee benefit plan administrator.

P&A Retirement Plan Services, a part of the P&A Group, a Buffaloheadquartered employee benefit service provider, recently teamed up with Mid Atlantic Trust Company to offer Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) to participants of employer sponsored retirement plans of all sizes.
