CARLTON—A Brockport man faces an aggravated driving while intoxicated charge after his vehicle struck a residential propane tank and a house late Sunday, Orleans County officials reported.

David T. Allchin II, 20, was traveling in his Ford F-150 pickup just before 11:30 p. m. when the vehicle went off the road, striking and damaging the tank, police said. A large quantity of propane leaked out into the atmosphere, according to reports.

The truck struck and came to rest against a house at 13093 Mitchell Drive. No structural damage was reported, although an air-conditioning unit was damaged.

Allchin was uninjured. No one in the house was hurt.
