3-year-old girl injured by late-night firework

A firework shot off just past midnight on July 4 struck and injured a 3- year-old girl, Buffalo police said.
The firework struck the girl on the right side of the head, requiring four stitches and causing first-degree burns on her right ear and right hand.
The girl was struck on the 100 block of Germain Street, near Amherst and Grant streets. It’s unknown who shot off the firework.
