Falls man pleads guilty in jobless scam, DWI

LOCKPORT—James R. Felts will be going to state prison for up to four years, Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Sperrazza said Thursday as Felts pleaded guilty to a felony, a misdemeanor and a probation violation.
Sperrazza will impose the official sentence Dec. 4 on Felts, 57, of Willow Avenue, Niagara Falls. He pleaded guilty to a felony count of driving while intoxicated for an arrest June 21 in the Town of Niagara, and to petit larceny for collecting unemployment benefits to which he wasn’t entitled between Oct. 5 and Nov. 16.
