Bicyclist critically hurt when hit by pickup

A bicyclist was critically injured Friday night when struck by a pickup on Milestrip Road in Brant.
The bicyclist was riding west on Milestrip near Morley Road when he was struck by a westbound pickup operated by James E. Hawes of Angola.
The bicyclist was taken by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition, according to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office. The bicyclist was not identified.
