Q: I read somewhere that Khandi Alexander, who was on “CSI: Miami,” was going to be in a new series. Do you have any info on that?— Betty Boeldt, Sheboygan, Wis.
A: The show is “Treme,” an HBO drama about New Orleans residents after Hurricane Katrina. A definite premiere date had not been set at the time of this writing, though fall was being speculated as a possibility. Also in the cast is recent Oscar nominee and Film Independent Spirit Award winner Melissa Leo (“Frozen River”), who reunites with “Homicide: Life on the Street” creative force David Simon on the project.
Q: What is the future of “Castle”?— C. Perry Harper, Ostrander, Ohio
A: It’s a good future since the Nathan Fillion-starring show was the only one of ABC’s midseason dramas to earn a return invitation for the fall. Though reruns are airing at 9 p. m. Saturdays for the summer, new episodes will return where viewers found it originally, following “Dancing With the Stars” in the Monday lineup.
Q: I have read that Billy Campbell has made a TV movie called “Meteor.” When will it air?— Tony Vega, Houston
A: It was scheduled for June originally, but NBC has moved it to July 12 and 19. Campbell plays a detective in the two-part movie about a meteor on a collision course with Earth. Jason Alexander, Christopher Lloyd and Marla Sokoloff co-star.
