Kathryn S. Mazierski, who has worked as a political consultant and is a former president of the state chapter of National Organization for Women, is challenging incumbent Fred M. Newlin II for the Democratic nomination in the Lewiston town supervisor’s race. Her first name was wrong in Sunday’s paper, and her political background was omitted.
Incumbent Alfonso M. Bax and attorney David V. Sanchez have both been endorsed by the Working Families Party in the race for two seats on the Lewiston Town Board. The relationship between the two candidates was misstated in a Sunday article.
Olivia Patricia Thomas is currently the second-longest-lived person ever from Iowa, not the longest-lived person, as was reported Saturday. E. Verona Johnston, who was born Aug. 6, 1890, and died in Dec. 1, 2004, holds the record.
