Hurwitz&Fine promoted Shawn P. Martin and Audrey A. Seeley to members of the law firm. Both served as associates with the firm since 2001. R. A. Mercer and Co., a certified public accounting firm with offices in Springville, Sardinia, Cattaraugus and Orchard Park, appointed Kenneth S. Frank president and Cathie J. Bridges chairperson. The two are comanaging partners. Frank, with the firm since 1993, is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University. A CPA, he workes out of the Springville and Sardinia offices. Endion Hospitalist Systems, an Orchard Park-based hospitalist program, appointed Melinda DuBois SeniorCare division director. J. Fitzgerald Group, a Lockportbased advertising and marketing agency, named Brad London director of technology and Suzanne London Web designer. Brad London previously worked for SkillSoft and Thomson Corp. in Chicago in various positions, including manager of platform integration/architecture and, most recently, senior application engineer. Suzanne London was a graphic/ Web designer for NetSource Communications in Naperville, Ill. for the past eight years. The Harlem Globetrotters named Amherst resident Brent Rossi vice president, live event marketing. Rossi, who has more than seven years of experience in the sports marketing and live entertainment industries, most recently, was a senior live event marketing representative for World Wrestling Entertainment.

Buffalo Hearing&Speech Center Foundation appointed Amy Szefel Starck director of development. Starck has more than 11 years of fundraising and marketing experience.

The Buffalo&Erie County Public Library named John G. Schmidt Jr. to its board of trustees. Schmidt is a partner with Phillips Lytle.

Gov. David A. Paterson appointed Edward T. McDonald of North Tonawanda and Alice A. Roth of the City of Tonawanda to the Niagara River Greenway Commission.

The accounting and advisory firm, Buffamante Whipple Buttafaro, named Lindsey S. Czapla and Merrissa R. Wilson staff accountants in its Orchard Park office. Wilson and Czapla both earned bachelor’s degrees in accounting from Geneseo State College.

First Niagara Financial Group named Todd C. Moules its regional president for Western Pennsylvania. Moules, a Pittsburgh resident, is currently overseeing the transition of 57 National City branches in Western Pennsylvania that First Niagara acquired in April. Moules was previously the state president of Pennsylvania banking at National City Corp. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Pennsylvania State University and a law degree from the John Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University. Also, the group named Mark R. Rendulic senior vice president and regional sales manager for retail banking in Western Pennsylvania. Rendulic was previously an executive vice president for National City Bank. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and attended the Consumer Banker’s Association Graduate School of Retail Branch Management.
