Man, 26, faces charges in Sunday morning stabbing

A 26-year-old Buffalo man was arrested Sunday in connection with an early morning stabbing near Genesee and May streets, Buffalo Police reported.
The charges against Rashawn Young included first-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
The incident occurred at about 3:30 a. m. Ferry-Fillmore District police arrested Young late Sunday morning after they found him hiding in a home on St. Joseph Avenue in the city, police said.
The victim, 28-year-old Amanuel Adugnae, of Buffalo, was taken to Erie County Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition, police said.
