Q: I thought one of the best shows on TV last year was “The Bridge.” Is it coming back? – Alice Lee, Port Orange, Fla.
A: It is. FX has picked up the mystery series starring Diane Kruger and Demian Bichir for a second round, slated to begin in the summer as Season 1 did. There will be a change behind the scenes for the sophomore turn, since Meredith Stiehm – an executive producer and developer of the show, along with Elwood Reid – has left to return to the staff of Showtime’s “Homeland.” However, Reid still will be present and in charge.
Q: Since “King & Maxwell” has been canceled, does that mean Jon Tenney will be showing up on “Major Crimes” again as his character from “The Closer?” – Mark Ames, Buffalo
A: Possibly, if he has the time. It didn’t take long for the actor to line up another gig, and it’s not hard to guess it will be a high-profile one even before it’s seen. Tenney will play a new man in the life of first lady Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young) when ABC’s hugely popular “Scandal” resumes its third season Feb. 27.
Q: I saw “Something’s Gotta Give” on TV recently. Was the actor who played Diane Keaton’s ex-husband the same one who played Starsky on “Starsky and Hutch”? – Ellen Wise, Altoona, Pa.
A: Indeed it was, and Paul Michael Glaser also is a director of note. Two of his movies, “The Cutting Edge” and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s “The Running Man,” have lives that seem never to end on cable channels. More recently, Glaser has acted in series including “Ray Donovan,” “The Mentalist” and “Criminal Minds.”
