Executive chef series
Butterwood Desserts’ new owners, Claire Bacon and David Hestand, are continuing the executive chef series at the West Falls location, 1863 Davis Road.
On Monday, Protocol Restaurant will present pan-seared sea scallops on a bed of angel hair pasta, dressed with lobster butter to be followed by Halibut Washington. Butterwood will prepare the dessert.
Chef Jerome Dean from Shanghai Red’s will present braised short ribs with roasted mixed vegetables as an entree Oct. 5. That meal will start with crispy calamari dressed with Thai pepper sauce and will be complemented by a green salad with apples.
In a different twist this year, Butterwood has partnered with Neil Kratzer of the Wine Room to present appropriate wines with each course.
All sessions start at 6 p. m. and are $40 per person. Call 652-0131 for more information and to reserve.
