Mule team
I have no idea how Warren Haynes does it. The guy is perpetually on the road, filling in time away from his main gig as leader, guitarist, songwriter and singer with Gov’t Mule by flanking Derek Trucks in the twin-guitar assault of the Allman Brothers Band; sitting in with countless bands and artists; and making the scene at every summer festival any self-respecting hippie would at least entertain the notion of attending.
Sleep, like a vacation, is apparently for the weak, in the Haynes cosmology.
Though Haynes will be making it to Canandaigua in late August, as the Allman Brothers team with Bob Weir and Ratdog for what is sure to be a killer show, he’ll bring the mighty Mule to our neck of the woods for some of the finest guitar-based blues-rock this side of Cream. It happens at 6:30 p. m. Tuesday as part of Artpark’s free Tuesday at the Park series.
