For people who love Romantic music, a concert next Thursday at the University at Buffalo is a dream come true. Cellist Jonathan Golove, pianist Eric Huebner and violinist Yuki Numata Resnick of the UB Music Department faculty will be joined by guest violinist Virginia Barron in a concert devoted to the music of Johannes Brahms. Any Brahms chamber music is something to celebrate, and the music chosen for this concert is especially lovely. The master musicians will begin with Brahms’ Violin Sonata No. 3 in D minor, Op. 108 and the Piano Trio in B Major, Op. 8. The concert culminates in the passionate, incredibly beautiful Piano Quartet in C minor, Op. 60.

The concert takes place at 7:30 p.m. next Thursday in Lippes Concert Hall in Slee Hall on the UB North Campus, Amherst. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for faculty, staff, alumni, seniors and students. Call 645-2921.
