Boz Scaggs returns to the University at Buffalo’s Center for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. Monday, nearly a year to the day since he last played the same room, offering a show that, by most accounts, was one for the ages. Now touring behind “Memphis,” yet another feather in his already crowded cap, the still-vibrant Scaggs is taking a victory lap as one of the finest soul/R&B/rock vocalists and guitarists extant. Though he has never reached the same commercial heights he scaled in the late 1970s with the Grammy-winning, multiplatinum “Silk Degrees” album, Scaggs still commands a sizable fan base, and has been widely acknowledged as one of the classiest artists in all of American roots music.

Tickets are $37 to $67 (box office, www.ubcfa.org).
