The Niagara Regional Theatre Guild will hold auditions for three productions at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 and 13 in the Ellicott Creek Playhouse (530 Ellicott Creek Road, Tonawanda). Call for works

The Niagara Arts and Cultural Center (1201 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls) is seeking submissions for the NACC Artists & Friends Art Exhibition, Open Studios and Artist Holiday Market, which runs Dec. 7 through Jan. 19.

The exhibition is open to all artists, but works must be original. Two-dimensional pieces must be framed and wired for installation. Three-dimensional pieces must have a clean, nonabrasive base or be mounted on a pedestal. A completed “I Intend to Exhibit” form with a $30 entry fee for the first two pieces ($10 for each additional piece) should be completed and submitted to the center by 5 p.m. Dec. 2. Works should include a label on the back or underside of each piece with the artist’s name, title, medium, dimensions and price. Drop-off is during the center’s hours from Nov. 16 through Dec. 2. Road Less Traveled Productions is currently accepting applications for the 2014 Emanuel Fried New Play Workshop. Western New York writers are encouraged to submit entries. Applications will be accepted through Jan. 6. There is no application fee.

The company is also seeking entries for the fifth annual Buffalo Young Writers contest. Western New York area students (ages 15 through 23, currently enrolled in school) are encouraged to write and submit a ten-minute play. Submissions will be accepted through Feb. 3.
