The fair’s main hall will include 32 artists, two collectives and nine galleries from across Western New York and beyond. In addition, the fair will feature 12 site-specific sculptures and other installations in and around the library, which was chosen for its central location on Lafayette Square.
This year’s fair includes several panels and off-site activities as well, including a trio of art installations on view at Canalside, a series of sessions on art collecting and public art throughout the day on Saturday, a downtown tour of public art at 9 a.m. Sunday and a presentation from the Bushwick Art Crit Group at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Extracurricular activities surrounding this year’s fair include a $150 “VVIP Art Tour”of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery and two local private collections at 10 a.m. Friday, a VIP preview party from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday for $75 and a dance party at 10 p.m. Friday in Mohawk Place (47 E. Mohawk St.). The main event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $5 or $4 for library members, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the library.
