Area golf policy

Here is The News’ policy on area golf scores:
We will print the results of 10 tournaments a year for each golf course. Courses can report any 10 events they want. We will take the overall winner, the overall runner-up and the winner in every flight or class. No runners-up in flights or classes are taken. At most public courses, the men’s and women’s clubs are separate entities. So the men’s club can call in five of its tournaments during the season and the women’s club can call in five events. Once a club has reached its limit of events reported, no more scores will be accepted for the season. Scores can be e-mailed to sports@buffnews.com , phoned in at 849-4461 or faxed at 849-4587.
