Q: Will “Sons of Anarchy” be back on television, and when? —Sylvia Aubuchon, San Antonio

A: The good news for you is that it will be back, but the less-good news is that you have a bit of a wait. FX has renewed the motorcycle-club drama— which includes Ron Perlman and Katey Sagal among its stars —for a second season, but filming isn’t slated to begin until late April. The new episodes are projected to begin running in the fall.

Q: Who was the actress who played the owner on the show “Hotel,” with James Brolin?— Pat Lewczyk, Hamburg

A: It was Anne Baxter, who was on the Aaron Spelling-produced ABC drama—inspired by Arthur Hailey’s best-seller— until her death in 1985. The “owner” position actually was supposed to belong to one of Baxter’s “All About Eve” co-stars, screen legend Bette Davis, who fell ill after making the series’ pilot.

Q: I remember a miniseries from the late 1970s or early 1980s, but I can’t remember the name of it. It involved friends from high school, there was a murder, and one of them was responsible. Years later, they came back to go over things. What is the title?— Rick Rhodes, Groveport, Ohio

A: “Celebrity,” and it was based on Tommy Thompson’s best seller. NBC aired the drama in 1984, and it starred Michael Beck, Joseph Bottoms and Ben Masters (“Passions”) as the friends. The cast also included Debbie Allen, Hal Holbrook, James Whitmore and a very young River Phoenix.
