Reynolds’ roadie …
Veteran radio talker Joey Reynolds, a ’60s-era Buffalo legend still broadcasting from the Big Apple, is taking his show on the road.
With the assistance of Turkish tourism officials, Reynolds will be broadcasting from Istanbul, Turkey, Tuesday through July 5.
Reynolds will interview authors, artists, chefs, musicians, hotel and cruise ship operators, among other people, to provide an “inside glimpse at what makes Istanbul one of the world’s most exotic cities,” he said in a press release.
Reynolds’ show reports more than 5 million listeners and describes itself as “the No. 1 late night variety talk show in the U. S. for more than five years.”

Pink ranger expecting …
Amy Jo Johnson, who played Keri Russell’s best friend Julie Emrich on the series “Felicity,” is expecting her first child in late fall, a rep confirmed to People. Johnson, 37, is shooting the new CBS show, “Flashpoint,” while pregnant with her child with fiance Olivier Giner. She stars as Jules Callaghan, a police sniper, in the show that premieres July 11.
A former gymnast, Johnson achieved fame with her first major television role as Kimberly Hart, the Pink Ranger, in 1993’s “Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers.”
A long wait …
Fans of “24” will have to wait a couple of years to see a film version of the Fox TV drama about a U. S. counterterrorism unit.
The movie, originally scheduled for release next year, has been put on hold because of the Hollywood writers’ strike and probably won’t reach theaters until 2010, executive producer Howard Gordon said in an interview.
The film fell behind schedule after Fox decided to delay the TV show’s seventh season. Since writers went back to work in February, the cast and crew have been busy filming new episodes, which begin airing in January, and a two-hour special that will be shown Nov. 23.
Weekend wedding …
He won the affection of millions of people on “American Idol,” but this weekend, Ruben Studdard is giving his heart to one woman.
A representative for the former “Idol” confirmed to the Associated Press that Studdard, 29, plans a Saturday wedding. He and Surata Zuri McCants, 30, took out a marriage license on Monday, according to court records.
The Birmingham native, nicknamed the “Velvet Teddy Bear” on the show for his big frame and sonorous voice, has released three albums since his 2003 win, including the platinum CD “Soulful.” He is working on a new album.
Single for now …
Jessica Simpson is smitten with her beau Tony Romo, but Wednesday morning, the singer-actress dodged Barbara Walters’ question about impending wedding bells, People magazine reports.
“We’ve been together for — seven to almost eight months now,” Simpson, said of the Dallas Cowboys star, 28, on “The View.”
“I don’t really know about wedding bells — I still love him, and I’m still with him, so that’s a good sign.”
As for her sister Ashlee, who’s pregnant, Simpson said, “She sent me a picture of her belly. She’s popping, it’s so cute!”
