Meanwhile, Vivian Alamein vowed revenge on Carly for her nephew's death. As Arianna and Brady's romance heated up, she continued to conceal her past of drugs and prison from him. Stefano finally told Nicole that he won't reveal the truth to EJ and Sami and that she will be Sydney's mother. Stefano also promised to change the DNA test results to make it appear that Sydney isn't Chad's baby, with Mia reluctantly agreeing to say she had several sex partners at that time. However, Rafe confided to Arianna that Sydney is Sami's baby. Coming: Philip hopes to win Melanie back.
GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sam was on board with whatever Jason decided to do after realizing that Claudia had sent Jerry after Kristina. Showing no emotion when Jason gave him undeniable proof of Claudia's responsibility for Michael's shooting, Sonny lashed out at her in front of everyone. Sonny then accused Jax of covering up the truth to protect Jerry, unaware Carly heard him. A desperate Claudia made a move that put her, Carly and Carly's unborn child's lives in danger, and left Michael feeling guilt-ridden. Having been accidentally drugged, Lulu learned that Dominic is an undercover cop but appeared to have forgotten it the next morning. Luke was shocked to see Nikolas and Elizabeth sharing a kiss. Coming: Carly may not be able to forgive such a grave betrayal.

Riley turned to Auggie for comfort after fighting with Jonah about not having told her friends and family that they're engaged. Lauren applied to be on Michael's team at the hospital, while accepting more dates for hire to pay her tuition bill. David accused Michael of murdering Sydney. Coming: Gigi doesn't know what she wants.
YOUNG AND RESTLESS: Having confessed his involvement with Rafe to Sharon, Adam was floored by her reaction, and it wasn't long before their relationship became public knowledge. Billy hired a Newman family member on the magazine staff. J.T. made a decision about whether to accept the job offer in New York, knowing that his marriage will live or die as the result of his action. Updated: 10/30/09 8:58 AM I loved Wanda Sykes the first time I saw her. Nothing has changed since. She was on Jay Leno’s old “Tonight Show.” What I caught were the last three minutes of wondrous Sykes in a sit-down interview when David Letterman had gotten tedious and, as was my occasional wont, I surfed over to “Tonight” to see what was going on. - ZAP2IT
Updated: 10/25/09 7:28 AM Sometimes, words speak louder than actions. So it was at the secret mid-1980s rendezvous that put the end of apartheid in motion. Had those talks at an estate in England failed, the result could have been a war between races then separated legally in South Africa. The meeting is dramatized with intensity in “Endgame,” the season premiere of “Masterpiece Contemporary” that marks David Tennant’s (“Doctor Who”) debut as the PBS anthology’s new host at 9 p. m. today. -
Updated: 10/22/09 3:21 PM ALL MY CHILDREN: Annie told Emma how important it is for her to never reveal what happened the night Stuart was killed, but Emma threatened to tell everyone the whole story if Annie marries Adam. After David drugged Adam, Zach began questioning Adam about the fateful night. David surprised Amanda when he told Jesse that he didn't see Kendall, later offering shared custody of Trevor to Amanda if she has another baby with him. When Madison died suddenly, her father gave the Hubbards the incriminating tapes, only to have Frankie and Randi realize that anything proving Madison's guilt was removed. Tad married J.R. and Marissa. Kendall feared for Aidan's life as he suffered the effects of an infection from the gunshot wound. (Updated: 10/22/09 3:21 PM )

- 'Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant': Made-for-fun 'horror' flick could use more laughs
- McClatchy Newspapers
Updated: 10/23/09 8:48 AM “Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant” is sort of a “Twilight”-lite. It’s about vampires and it’s about teenagers. But where “Twilight” vamps down Romance Novel Road, “Freak,” based on Darren Shan’s novels, is a lark and in this case, the laughs are intentional. (Updated: 10/23/09 8:48 AM )

- McClatchy Newspapers
Updated: 10/23/09 8:46 AM Lovely dollops of wit and warmth float through the big screen version of “Astro Boy,” the latest Japanese TV cartoon to make it to the big screen. But the look, themes and slam-bang “Transformers” violence of that 1960s animated series make this every bit as dated as “Speed Racer,” even if it is easier to watch. (Updated: 10/23/09 8:46 AM )
