Talking Leaves Books, 3158 Main St. WEDNESDAY, 7:30 p.m.: Just Buffalo Literary Cafe presents its annual winter and holiday-themed open reading hosted by poet Perry Nicholas, author of the new collection “The River of You” (FootHills Publishing). THURSDAY, 10:30 a.m.: The Jewish Community Book Fair presents “The Holocaust in French Film and Literature” with Canisius College professor of French and teaching scholar Eileen Angelini. FRIDAY, 7p.m.: Book launch for Nava Fader’s “all the jawing jackdaw” (BlazeVox Books) featuring readings by Fader and Saucebox Press founder and Just Buffalo publicist and teaching artist Robin Brox, with an exhibition of paintings by Maureen Matthews, cover artist for Fader’s book. Sugar City, 19 Wadsworth St. (near Allen Street). $5.
