Nov. 29,11 a. m.: Book signing for “Goat-Faced Girl” (Godine), the new adaptation of the traditional Italian folktale by author Leah Marinsky Sharpe and her mother, illustrator and Buffalo native Jane Marinsky. Talking Leaves Books-Elmwood, 951 Elmwood Ave. (near Bidwell Avenue).

Dec. 1,7:30p.m.: The Jewish Community Book Fair presents Peter Manseau, journalist and author of “Songs for the Butcher’s Daughter: A Novel.” Jewish Community Center, Holland Building, 787 Delaware Ave.

Dec. 2,7p.m.: Book talk and book signing by UB professor emeritus Irving Massey, author of “The Neural Imagination: Aesthetic and Neuroscientific Approaches to the Arts” (University of Texas Press). Talking Leaves Books, 3158 Main St.

Dec. 2,7:30p.m.: Just Buffalo Literary Cafe presents its annual winter and holidaythemed open reading hosted by poet Perry Nicholas, author of the new collection “The River of You” (FootHills Publishing). Five-minute reading slots available. Center for Inquiry, 1310 Sweet Home Road, Amherst.

Dec. 3,10:30a.m.: The Jewish Community Book Fair presents “The Holocaust in French Film and Literature” with Canisius College Professor of French and teaching scholar Eileen Angelini. Jewish Community Center of Greater Buffalo, Benderson Building, 2640 North Forest Road, Getzville.
