Everyone from a member of Peter, Paul and Mary to the country’s leading crusader for the salvation of Jewish deli cuisine will be part of the Jewish Book Fair which begins today at 7:30 p. m. in the Jewish Community Center, 2640 North Forest Road in Getzville with the appearance of Rich Cohen, author of “Israel Is Real: An Obsessive Quest to Understand the Jewish Nation and Its History.” Cohen is also the author of “Tough Jews” and “The Record Men.”

Highlights of the fair, which continues through Dec. 9, are:

Buffalo attorney and writer Sam Magavern discussing his book “Primo Levi’s Universe: A Writer’s Journey” at 7:30 p. m. Nov. 17 in the Jewish Community Center Holland Building, 787 Delaware Ave.

David Sax, author of “Save the Deli: In Search of the Perfect Pastrami, Crusty Rye and the Heart of the Jewish Delicatessen” at 8 p. m. Nov. 19 in the Nosh Cafe at 7900 Transit Road to discuss his crusade to bring back the once-ubiquitous deli cuisine, which is having a hard time persisting all over America.

Peter Manseau, author of the immigrant novel “Songs for the Butcher’s Daughter” at 7:30 p. m. Dec. 1 in the Jewish Community Center Holland Building. Manseau is also the co-author of “Killing the Buddha: A Heretic’s Bible,” which traverses America in search of the immense variety of religious faith.

Peter Yarrow, of Peter, Paul and Mary, will talk about his children’s book “Day Is Done” — and sing the song of the same name — as part of a special children’s day celebration from 1 to 4:30 p. m. Dec. 6 in the Jewish Community Center Benderson Building on North Forest Road, Getzville.
