The Buffalo Infringement Festival will cap off its annual festival of under-the-radar arts in style on Sunday, as it takes over the roof of the Broadway Market (999 Broadway St.) with a daylong party featuring bands, theater, visual art and more. The day gets started at noon Sunday with a performance by Buffalo’s popular 12/8 Path Band. Other bands on the schedule include the Miraculous Rhythms of Sankofa Percussion Ensemble, I Was The Scarecrow, shapes of states and DJ Cult Hero. The Broadway Market will also host performances of “Ulysses’ Crewmen” by the traveling Insurgent Theatre at 1:15 p. m. and local artist Franklin LaVoie’s “Incident at Deer Lick,”a murder mystery in which LaVoie plays Mark Twain, at 1:30 p. m. Other theater performances at the Broadway Market on Sunday will include a short adaptation of a story by Leo Tolstoy by Theatre Vladimir Remnev, a monologue called “so much to do when you’re antisocial,” an improv-comedy show by locals Don Gervasi and Todd Benzin called “Babushka” and the satirical comedies “Three Faces of the Moon” and “Keep it Down!” presented by Buffalo’s new Sibyls Women’s Theatrical Ensemble. A “noise experiment,” in which audiences are instructed to “bring yer own amp” and “bring earplugs,” will be conducted from 4 to 8 p. m. Sunday in the old Key Bank location on the Broadway Market property. And the list goes on. For a full schedule of events for the remainder of the festival, visit www.infringebuffalo.org .
