When it comes to gift-oriented local art exhibitions, Western New York is swimming with them. Starlight Studio and Gallery (340 Delaware Ave.) will host a one-night art sale to benefit Buffalo’s City Mission with live music, food and assorted entertainment. The show will feature work by local artists and artisans Doreen DeBoth, Mary Johnson, Melissa Biersbach, Doug Mess, Chuck Tingley and many others. All pieces are priced at $20. Visit

On view at Buffalo Arts Studio (2495 Main Street, Suite 500) through Jan. 2 is the organization’s annual artists’ exhibit and sale, featuring work by more than 30 accomplished local artists. On Saturday and Sunday, from 11 a. m. to 5 p. m. only, at 301 Parkside Ave., works by Ani Hoover, Elizabeth Switzer, Mary Begley, Lukia Costello, Victoria Ciostek and Bruce Adams will be on view (and for sale) in an exhibition titled “Going Rouge.” Local painter Peter Fowler hosts a show today from 5 to 8 p. m. tonight and Saturday featuring what he calls “Crazy Pete’s holiday pricing” at his Kepa3 Gallery (31 Barker St.).
