The Buffalo Zoo is currently accepting entries for its amateur photo contest. Participants can enter photographs in five categories, including best mammal, best reptile/amphibian/ fish, best bird/plant/insect, zoo humor (caption required) and best photograph taken by a student (18 years old or younger). There is a $10 entry fee for the first photo and $5 for each photograph submitted after that by the same contestant. Zoo members are entitled to one free entry. Entry deadline is Dec. 31.
