Calls for Works

The Broadway Market is seeking unique crafters, ethnic vendors, fresh food and flower retailers to participate in its third annual Christkindlmarket Christmas Fair. This year’s event will take place from 8:30 a. m. to 5 p. m. Nov. 27 and 28 in the market, 999 Broadway.

Interested vendors are asked to submit detailed product descriptions along with photos of goods to be sold. Applications are available online at BroadwayMarket.org.

Impact Artist Gallery is seeking submissions for “Art for the Holidays.” Five large works, five small works and up to 12 ornaments may be submitted to the gallery at the Tri- Main Center, 2495 Main St., Suite 545. Delivery dates are Nov. 23 and 24. The cost for nonmembers is $30.

Also, works are sought for the January Photo Exhibit; 8x10 photos should be mounted. The cost is $5 per photo. For more information, call 835-6817.

Area Artists

Local filmmaker Peter McGennis’ film, “Buffalo Bushido,” will make its world premiere during the seventh annual Queens Film Festival in New York City at 8 p. m. Saturday. Cast and crew will be in attendance to celebrate at the 800-seat Tony Bennett Concert Hall in the Frank Sinatra Center.

“Buffalo Bushido” stars Buffalo native Jesse L. Martin as well as Leila Arcieri, John Savage, Bruce Glover, Fred Weller and Peter McGennis. For those who can’t sneak away to New York City for the world premiere, “Buffalo Bushido” will be screened in the Dipson Market Arcade in the spring.
