The daily dish… a spicy serving of celebrity news

Sounds like Lindsay Lohan’s affair with galpal Samantha Ronson is fraying at the seams.

The 22-year-old actress reportedly told friends she’s not a lesbian, then told News and World columnist Dan Wootton that she’s starting to feel trapped in her relationship with Ronson.

Wootton reported that a close friend of Lohan’s told him: “Linds is on the brink because Sam won’t leave her side. Whenever she does, Lindsay’s on the phone telling her mates that she’s decided she’s not a lesbian.

“Of course she still has feelings for Sam –but she also feels like she has to escape,” Wootton reported the source told him.

Palin’ around …

Rosie O’Donnell might not see eye-to-eye with her politically, but she tells the TV show “Extra” that she’d like to hang out with Sarah Palin sometime. “I’d like to have a beer with her,” O’Donnell said of the recently vanquished GOP vice presidential candidate. “I’d like to meet her kids. She seems like a pretty nice woman. Although I have to say, I am thrilled her party did not win. [But] you got to give it to her for spunk.” Rosie admits she has a soft spot for Palin’s tenacity and ambition.

“I think I probably would like her if I met her,” she said. “She had an amazing life for herself and her family in Alaska. Very successful. Before you knew it, she was the most famous person in the country.”

Fresh face …

Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano has hit a milestone in any politician’s career –she was parodied on “Saturday Night Live.”

The brief impersonation by cast member Kristen Wiig came during host Paul Rudd’s opening monologue.

Rudd discussed the show’s popular political impersonations and assured the audience there were plenty of good impressions left to do.

That included

Napolitano, a Democrat mentioned as a possible attorney general in Barack Obama’s administration.

Wiig then came out donning Napolitano’s hairstyle –short and black with a gray spot in the front. She walked offstage awkwardly after giving an oversimplified answer on how she would secure the

U. S.-Mexico border.

Driven to comment …

Comedian Wanda Sykes says the passage of a same-sex marriage ban in California has led to her be more outspoken about being gay.

“You know, I don’t really talk about my sexual orientation. I didn’t feel like I had to. I was just living my life, not necessarily in the closet, but I was living my life,” Sykes told a crowd at a gay rights rally in Las Vegas on Saturday.

“Everybody that knows me personally, they know I’m gay. But that’s the way people should be able to live their lives,” she said.

Sykes, who is known for her feisty and blunt style, said the passage of California’s Proposition 8 made her feel like she was “attacked.”

“Now, I gotta get in their face,” she said. “I’m proud to be a woman. I’m proud to be a black woman, and I’m proud to be gay.”
