Gershwin, of Course,” program features pianist Sang Woo Kang performing a Gershwin medley and his Piano Concerto No. 1, as well as Verdi, Bizet and variations on a Korean folk song, “Arirang.” What else: A chance to enjoy some music—free—before the Super Bowl starts. Genesis Redux

What: The Musical Box’s production of “A Trick of the Tail.” Why: Step back to 1976 and experience the chart-topping album that was the first of the Phil Collins-era Genesis. What else: See the original slides, films, lasers and special effects and hear the set list from the album. Info: Starts at 8 p. m. in the historic Riviera Theatre. Tickets are $39 per person and may be reserved by calling the box office at 692-2413 or online at rivieratheatre.org.

Encounter the spirits

What: St. Valentine’s Weekend Haunted Pub Crawl Why: This ghost walk, led by Mason Winfield and Co., will include spooky tales of things that go bump in the night— with “liberal breaks for spirits, socializing and supernatural storytelling!” What else: Learn a little history while you walk the streets of Allentown, one of the city’s most interesting areas. Info: Meet at 6:30 p. m. inside Cozumel Grill, 153 Elmwood. Cost is $20 per person.

SATURDAY

Yummy bugs

What: ‘Bug-a-licious’ Insect Food Festival Why: Grubs, crickets, ants and other creeping things will spice up edibles created by Chef Jeff Stewart, who researches insect-inspired recipes actually used in some parts of the world. What else: Not into eating them? Then just watch the 2,000 colorful tropical butterflies fly free in the rain forest setting. Check out the emergence window, where butterflies leave their pupae and try out their brand-new wings. Info: $11.75 for adults; $7.65 for children 6 to 12; children 5 and under admitted free. All prices Canadian, taxes are extra. Conservancy at 2405 Niagara Parkway, Niagara Falls, Ont., is located 10 minutes north of Niagara Falls and is open from 10 a. m. to 5 p. m. —Anne Neville
