Elizabeth I. Fisher, 93, retired high school math, science teacher

Elizabeth I. Fisher, who taught high school math and science for 35 years, died Thursday in Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home, Springville, following a brief illness. She was 93.
The native of Davenport, N. Y., was a graduate of Delhi High School and, in 1937, Elmira College. She also earned a master’s degree and certification in guidance from St. Lawrence University in 1947.
She taught at Holland High School from 1937 until her retirement in 1972 and served as guidance counselor, as well.
Miss Fisher was a life member of Meredith Baptist Church in Meredith, N. Y., and she attended Holland Methodist Church, where she volunteered on various committees and served a term as church treasurer.
She was a member of the Fern Leaf Reading Club and Holland Garden Club.
Survivors include a dear friend, Nancy Johnson.
A memorial service will be offered at 11 a. m. Tuesday in Holland United Methodist Church, Partridge Road, Holland.
