Amherst Comptroller Darlene A. Carroll said the town faces a potential $8 million to $9 million gap. The amount was wrong in a story in some editions Wednesday. She also referred to the use of an additional $900,000 in fund balance for the proposed 2010 special districts budget over the current year’s budget. That figure was improperly described in the article.
