A workshop on the state’s new historic preservation tax credit for residential builders and owners will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p. m. Sept. 30 at the Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society. The time of the meeting was incorrect in an article in Thursday’s editions. (Updated: 09/18/09 7:12 AM )

Kathryn S. Mazierski, who has worked as a political consultant and is a former president of the state chapter of National Organization for Women, is challenging incumbent Fred M. Newlin II for the Democratic nomination in the Lewiston town supervisor’s race. Her first name was wrong in Sunday’s paper, and her political background was omitted. (Updated: 09/15/09 6:59 AM )

Thomas H. Stenhouse, who died last Wednesday at age 83, coached youngsters in boxing from 1957 to 1972 during his association with the Niagara District Amateur Athletic Union. He also was an 80-year member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. This information was incorrect in Mr. Stenhouse’s obituary, which appeared Friday. (Updated: 09/12/09 7:04 AM )

Clarification

Richard A. Cramer-Benjamin, who was sentenced to a six-month jail term and a probation period for possession of child pornography, was never involved in sexual contact with children. An article Friday could have been construed that his intermittent treatment over 10 years was intended to prevent that. The treatment was an attempt to overcome his interest in pornography.
