Man with prior convictions faces felony DWI charge
A Lackawanna man with 18 previous license suspensions and revocations was arrested Saturday night on felony charges of driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, Erie County sheriff’s deputies said.
James Slattery, 34, was arrested at about 9:20 p. m. on South Cascade Drive in Springville by a deputy responding to a reckless driving complaint.
Deputy Christopher Butera stopped Slattery for several traffic violations, and his investigation led to the felony charges. Slattery’s license was revoked for previous DWI convictions, the department said.
Slattery was taken to the Erie County Holding Center, where he is being held without bail, pending his arraignment in Springville Village Court.
