Priest requests get well cards for boy with brain tumor
A priest is asking the community to send get well cards to a 4-year-old East Aurora boy who is scheduled to undergo brain surgery later this month in New York City to remove a tumor.
Deaglan Carney was diagnosed with the craniopharyngioma in his brain in April at Women&Children’s Hospital in Buffalo. The Rev. Joseph Moreno of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, who has been offering his help to the boy and his family since the boy was first hospitalized, said Deaglan loves getting mail. The priest is asking the public to send get well cards to the boy via the church. He will hand deliver them to him at New York University Medical Center, Moreno said.
He is also asking for the public’s prayers for the little boy.
