Driver who crashed car after fight is arrested
A Springville man who crashed his car after a bar fight was charged with a felony count of driving while intoxicated, Erie County sheriff’s deputies reported Friday.
Daniel C. Tatar, 37, of Boston State Road, left the unidentified bar after the fight Thursday and drove into a ditch nearby, deputies said. Taken into custody by Deputy Chris Parisi, Tatar agreed to a breath test and registered a blood-alcohol content of 0.13 percent.
Deputies said Tatar was convicted in 2004 of driving under the influence of drugs in the Town of Collins and had an alcohol-related conviction in the 1990s.
