Angola woman, 75, dies of injuries suffered in crash
A 75-year-old Angola woman died Wednesday night after suffering injury complications from a two-vehicle accident in the Town of Evans earlier in the day, Evans police said.
Ivadell J. Priolette, of High Street, died in Erie County Medical Center, where she was taken with injuries that authorities initially didn’t believe were serious. After the accident, though, she suffered from internal bleeding, officials said.
The collision between a car and a pickup occurred at about 11:30 a. m. at the intersection of Delameter and Sturgeon Point roads.
Priolette was a passenger in a car driven by her grandson Eric Carlson, 20, of the same High Street address. That car was heading east on Delameter when the driver stopped at the stop sign at Sturgeon Point but failed to yield the right of way to the oncoming southbound pickup truck, police said.
The truck, which did not have a stop sign on Sturgeon Point, was driven by Richard Wolf, 72, of South Main Street, Angola.
No charges have been filed in the accident, which remains under investigation.
