Car show Sunday will benefit Mercy Flight
The fifth annual Marilla Car Show to benefit Mercy Flight will kick off at noon Sunday at the gazebo near Bullis and Two Rod roads in Marilla.
Actor Ben Jones, who played Cooter Davenport on 1980s television show “The Dukes of Hazzard,” will be the guest participant this year. Jones will be available to sign autographs and judge a Daisy Dukes contest in which the winner will receive $100.
The car dubbed “the General Lee” from the “Dukes of Hazzard” show, and the car “Kitt,” from the TV show “Knight Rider,” will be featured at the car show, along with cars from the 1970s TV detective show “Starsky & Hutch” and the 1980s Mel Gibson movie “Mad Max.”
Registration for those entering their vehicles in the show is $20.
