A Lackawanna man who is also believed to be involved in a recent Southtowns burglary ring was arrested Wednesday in New Jersey for allegedly using a stolen credit card, Hamburg town police reported.
Lawrence Fisher, 26, was charged with two counts of burglary in connection with April 16 and 29 break-ins at Sorry Charlie’s, a South Park Avenue tavern.
Police believe Fisher fled the area as their investigation into the burglary ring pointed toward him as a primary suspect. He is expected to be extradited to Erie County to face numerous charges, police said.
Police said Fisher apparently had access to the keys of the Hamburg tavern through a relationship with a former employee, 21-year-old Stephanie Conrad of Hamburg, who is a co-defendant in the case.
