RUMMAGE SALE: A fall rummage and bake sale will take place from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. Saturday in Pendleton Center United Methodist Church, 6864 Campbell Blvd. at Bear Ridge Road. Lunch is available, and there will be a bag sale at 1. Crafts, toys, books, plants and more will be sold to benefit the church missions programs. Call 625-8306.

CHEER CHALLENGE: The Independent Health Foundation will host its second annual Fitness for Kids Cheer Challenge from 9 a. m. to 4 p. m. Sunday in the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center, 153 Franklin St. The event features judging, play-byplay feedback, trophies and awards. OPEN HOUSE: Canisius College, 2001 Main St., will host an Arts and Sciences open house from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. Sunday. Faculty, administrators and students will be on hand to greet prospective students, including transfer and adult students.
