SERVICE NIGHT: Local students interested in attending one of our nation’s military colleges are invited to participate in an informational session hosted by Rep. Chris Lee, RClarence, at 7 p. m. today in Spencerport High School’s E. J. Wilson Building, 2707 Spencerport Road. The event will give students, parents and educators the opportunity to speak with representatives from five service academies. For more information or to R. S. V. P., call 683-2324.

YWCA MEETING: The YWCA of the Tonawandas, 49 Tremont St., North Tonawanda, will host a membership tea event from 1 to 3 p. m. Saturday to provide information about the various services, events and programs the group has to offer to the community. The event is free and open to the public. PUBFEST: Lewiston Village Pub will present the first Pubfest from noon to 6 p. m. Sunday in Academy Park and in the Pub, 840 Center St. Admission is free. The event will feature live music, food, beverages, a beer tent and more. For more information, call 854-7577 or 754-7146.

HOMEOWNERS MEETING: The Cheektowaga Town Park Homeowners Association meets at 6:30 p. m. Tuesday in Alexander Street Community Center, 275 Alexander St. The meetings will feature presentations from members of the Cheektowaga Town Board, Cheektowaga Central School District, Cheektowaga Police Department, Cheektowaga Volunteer Fire Department, Erie County Legislature and the New York State Legislature. The meeting is open to all Cheektowaga residents living in neighborhoods around Town Park.

SPEAKER: Jan Langbein, a former senior policy adviser to the director of the Office on Violence Against Women, will be the keynote speaker at a “Domestic Violence Awareness” round-table discussion. The event will take place at 7:30 a. m. Wednesday in the Central Library auditorium, 1 Lafayette Square. The presentation is free. Call 884-8865 to register.
