IROQUOIS SCHOOLS

Contract extended a year for superintendent

Story tools:

Iroquois School Superintendent Neil Rochelle has received a one-year extension on his contract through July 31, 2012.

The School Board approved the extension at a meeting of the board last week. It includes a 4 percent pay increase, bringing his annual salary to $162,006.

Rochelle’s previous agreement with the district was a three-year contract that began in 2003.

The board also named Amy Stanfield principal of Iroquois Intermediate at an annual salary of $91,000. Stanfield most recently served as director of curriculum, instruction and assessment for Newfane Central School District. She replaces Donna Eno, who retired.

Also, Jeffrey Barnes was appointed to the newly created post of director of technology at an annual salary of $81,000. He previously worked for Erie 2 Board of Cooperative Educational Services.
