CELERON

New Leash on Life to hold benefit runs

CELERON—New Leash on Life, an animal shelter in Celoron, is holding a 10k run and a 5k fun run/walk on Aug. 1.

The race will take place at Lucille Ball Memorial Park, with proceeds covering the cost of spaying and neutering abandoned pets, along with other medical care for the animals.

Preregistration price is $15 through July 27. After that, the entry fee will be $18. Check-in for the race begins at 7 a. m. The 10k race takes place at 9 a. m., and the 5k will start at 9:15 a. m. The first 100 registrants will receive a free T-shirt.

The post-race party will be on the cruise ship Summer Wind. Registration forms can be downloaded from BuffaloRunners.com, obtained by e-mailing staceycurry72@yahoo.com or calling 782-3025.
