Gus Macker representatives to promote tourney at schools

OLEAN—Officials from Gus Macker will be here for three days this week visiting area schools to promote the first Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament to be held in Olean Aug. 14 to 16.

The officials will be accompanied by Gus, the bright yellow mascot of the tournament. On Thursday, they will be at Franklinville Central School, Southern Tier Catholic School, Olean Middle School, Ivers J. Norton Elementary School, East View Elementary School and New Life Christian School. They appear at Boardmanville Elementary School, Washington West Elementary School and East View and Norton again on Friday.

The visit concludes with Breakfast With Gus from 8 to 11 a. m. Saturday in the Country Inn&Suites by Carlson, 3270 Route 417 West. At the breakfast, fans can get autographs, enjoy treats, win Macker memorabilia and enter to win an entry in the tournament.
