7 arrested in drug investigation

The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force announced Tuesday the arrests of seven men for allegedly selling crack cocaine and/or prescription drugs throughout northern Chautauqua County.

The suspects were identified as:

• Javar L. Battle, 30, of King Street, Dunkirk — one count of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance (crack cocaine).

• Bobby Allen, 29, of East 2nd Street, Dunkirk — two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance (crack) and one count of fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana.

• Adam West, 26, of Lake Road, Portland—two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance (unspecified prescription drug).

• Timothy Hall, 58, of Fairview Avenue, Dunkirk — one count each of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance (crack).

•Jose G. Rodriguez, 35, of Lincoln Avenue, Dunkirk—one count each of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance (crack cocaine) and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (cocaine and narcotic pills).

• Antonio Watts, 22, of Smith Court Apartments, Dunkirk — one count each of thirddegree criminal possession of a controlled substance and thirddegree criminal sale of a controlled substance (crack).

•James E. Jackson, 22, of Townsend Street, Dunkirk — arrested on a parole warrant and charged with one count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (narcotic pills).

The task force, made up of members of the City of Dunkirk Police Department, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Village of Fredonia Police Department and the state Division of Parole, conducted a six-month investigation that led to the arrests.
