FARM STORIES: The North Tonawanda Public Library ( www.ntlibrary.org ), 505 Meadow Drive, is sponsoring a family story time about farms for children, ages 2 and up accompanied by an adult, from 6:30 to 7:15 p. m. LECTURE: St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute presents the inaugural speech in Ripples of Hope: the Eric Scott Pitman Lectures in Ethics and Social Justice series, 6:30 p. m., Wednesday in the Cullen Lecture Hall at St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute, 845 Kenmore Ave. Hosted by the school’s Model United Nations Club, the free lecture—Human Rights and Wrongs—The Global Implications of Human Interaction—will be delivered by Dr. Claude E. GALA: The Western New York Alzheimer’s Association will hold a disco-themed gala from 6 p. m. to 11:30 p. m. May 2 in Hyatt Regency Buffalo. The gala will feature cocktails, a sit-down dinner, dancing, themed basket raffles, live and silent auctions. All proceeds benefit programs for Alzheimer’s patients and their families. Tickets are $125 each or $1,000 for a table of 10 and must be purchased by Friday. Call 626-0600 for details or tickets.
