More villages post election results

Here are the results of local village elections that were not available in time for Wednesday’s editions.

Erie County

• Alden: Voters re-elected two incumbents and one newcomer as trustees. The winners were incumbents Michael G. Manicki, 152 votes; Theodore F. Mezydlo, 150; and Daniel J. Warmus Sr., 115. Michael A. Retzlaff received 93 votes, and incumbent Al Farrell had 78.

• Sloan: Mayor Leonard Szymanski was re-elected with 411 votes, leading a sweep of the People’s Choice Party candidates. Trustee Anthony A. Sisti had 199 votes for mayor, and Denis A. Sommerfield received 65 votes.

Incumbent Trustee James T. Niwinski and newcomer Doreen Spence, both with the People’s Choice Party, won the two trustee positions. Niwinski had 397 votes, and Spence had 391 votes. Village Pride Party candidates Deborah Zielinski received 235 votes, and Debra Hammer had 250.

Wyoming County

• Attica: Williams Lipsch was elected mayor with 96 votes. In the contest for two trustee positions, John Perry received 83 votes, and Frank Machniak had 72. Carolyn Agan was elected village justice with 73 votes.

• Castile: Scott Fischler was elected mayor with 24 votes, while Jane Eliasz had 24 votes and Joyce Neel had 25 votes for trustee.

• Silver Springs: Incumbent Gary Rinehart received 25 votes for mayor. The incumbent trustees also were re-elected. David Granger received 27 votes, and Thomas Surtel had 20.

Chautauqua County

• Celoron: Challenger Jack Keeney beat incumbent Thomas Bartolo in the mayor’s race, 245-157.

Incumbent Scott Schrecengost won re-election as trustee with 292 votes, and newcomer Norman L. Mattison won election as a trustee with 228 votes. Incumbent Robin Young was third with 192 votes.

• Cherry Creek: Two incumbent trustees were unopposed. Betty Milspaw received 19 votes, and Bruce Hendricks had 17.

• Forestville: Incumbent Trustee George Taylor was reelected with 24 votes, and Katherine Bowker was elected trustee with 23 votes.
