Growing giant pumpkins is topic of seminar

A free seminar on growing giant pumpkins is offered to the public from 10 a. m. to noon April 4 in the Humphrey Fire Hall on Cattaraugus County Road 18, Humphrey Road, south of Great Valley.

Andy Wolf, grower of a state record pumpkin of 1,407 pounds, along with other giant-pumpkin growers, will conduct the program and hand out free giant- pumpkin seeds. Giant-pumpkin contest rules and regulations will also be available for the fourth annual Enchanted Mountain Giant Pumpkin Weigh Off on Oct. 4.
