Well-known poet to lead free writing workshop
OLEAN—Hinsdale poet Thomas Krampf will conduct a free eight-part creative-writing workshop as part of the ongoing creative writing series of the Mental Health Association in Cattaraugus County.
Workshops will be held from 2 to 4 p. m. on consecutive Tuesdays beginning March 17 and continuing through May 5. All workshops will be held in the Mental Health Association’s North Union Street office adjacent to the Big Lots Store in Olean. Registration is requested but not required. Call the Mental Health Association at (716) 372-0208.
Internationally known and published, Krampf held a teaching residency at the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castelbar, Ireland. In 2006, he participated in “Printemps des Poetes (Springtime of the Poets)” literary festival in La Rochelle, France, and was one of the first U. S. poets to read at the Eden Mills (Ont.) Literary Festival.
