Burglaries top list of 7 indictments; arraignments scheduled Jan. 26

LITTLE VALLEY — Arraignments are scheduled Jan. 26 for seven people indicted by a grand jury on Thursday in a report handed to Cattaraugus County Judge Larry M. Himelein.

District Attorney Edward M. Sharkey said three Springville men were indicted on burglary charges.

• Scott Bellinger, 21, James O’Brien III, 26, and Gregory Shawl, 26, are each charged with third-degree burglary and petit larceny. The crime occurred at King Brook Funding in Yorkshire, where an attempt was made to steal copper wiring on July 3, 2008.

• Joshua Pettygrove, 20, of Perrysburg is charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny and third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, in the theft of a television, ring, keys and a safe between June 15 and 17 at Gowanda Free Methodist Church in Persia.

• Mark Swiech, 40, of Boston is charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right, Aug. 28 in Hinsdale.

• William Neaman, 32, of Delevan is charged with first-degree sexual abuse, endangering the welfare of a child and first-degree making a punishable false written statement.

The crime occurred in January 2008 in Yorkshire and involved a child younger than 11, authorities said.

• William Jackson, 57, of Hinsdale is charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right, Aug. 28 in Hinsdale.
