Olean man sentenced to up to 5 years for burglary

LITTLE VALLEY — An Olean man faces up to five years in prison following sentencing Monday in Cattaraugus County for his burglary conviction in Hinsdale.

Scott C. Jordan, 33, now in the county jail, was sentenced by Judge Larry M. Himelein as a repeat felon to serve 2z to five years and to pay restitution for his guilty plea to third-degree burglary of a building in October 2007 in Hinsdale.

In another sentencing, Parker J. Peckyno, 22, of Derrick City, Pa., was sentenced to five years of probation and fined $2,500 for his convictions on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving without a license May 27 in Olean.

District Attorney Edward M. Sharkey said several others pleaded guilty and will be sentenced in February.

David A. Foster, 52, of Olean, now in the county jail, pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, crack cocaine, Sept. 8, 2007, in Olean.

Seth T. White, 21, of Gowanda, pleaded guilty to third-degree attempted burglary at a building June 1 in Perrysburg.

Sandra C. White Eagle, 36, of Salamanca, pleaded guilty to third-degree grand larceny and second-degree identity theft at the Seneca Allegany Casino in Salamanca between November 2007 and April 2008, when she was employed by the casino.

Daylin P. Holt, 19, of West Valley, pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary in Ashford between December 2006 and September 2007.

Thomas J. Smith, 30, of Olean, now in the county jail, pleaded guilty to third-degree attempted burglary in June 2007 at a seasonal home on Dublin Terrace in Yorkshire.

Brett A. Anderson, 29, of Olean, pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, counterfeit money, between June and August.

Richard A. Smith, 22, of Delevan, pleaded guilty to third-degree rape June 7 in Yorkshire.

James P. Olson, 24, of Randolph, now in the county jail, pleaded guilty to second- degree burglary at a house in January in Coldspring and third-degree attempted burglary at a building in February in South Valley.

Three others will be sentenced in March.

Roy W. Thompson, 18, of Arcade, pleaded guilty to third-degree attempted burglary in May in Machias.

David F. John Jr., 22, of Buffalo, pleaded guilty to third-degree attempted burglary June 1 in Perrysburg.

David A. Skaggs, 38, of Bradford, Pa., pleaded guilty to DWI and driving without a license Oct. 7, 2007, in Salamanca.

In other cases:

•Dana M. Reimer, 47, of South Dayton, pleaded not guilty to course of sexual conduct against a child, first-degree sexual abuse, two counts of second-degree sexual abuse and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child between May 2004 and May 2008.

• Anthony R. Monroe, 62, of Allegany, pleaded not guilty to four counts of second- degree forgery, six counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, second-degree criminal impersonation, two counts of first-degree identity theft and third-degree welfare fraud between March 2006 and January 2007.
